I would like to introduce the beautiful video portrait that Bernadine van Wassenaer has filmed of fashion insider Mirabelle, a sprightly 82 year old with a sharp sense of freedom and happiness.

The video is in French and Mirabelle recounts her journey through fashion, guided by personal affinity rather than any sense of career, a deep love of beauty and a knack of finding the rising stars of her day.  Working with Thierry Mugler or Azzedine Alaia, she describes a family atmosphere and a sense of fun, miles away from what she calls "industrial fashion.
