A for attitude but C for choice

I would like to praise this Saturday's Guardian magazine fashion pages for using older models. This is one of the few publications where women over 35 can be seen regularly modeling clothes and they deserve our support. I also like their simple, unadorned approach and efforts to pick affordable clothes as part of the mix.

However, I must admit that I am not inspired by the outfits that I don't find particularly flattering.  Valerie, the model to the far left seems to be floating in baggy, ill-fitting clothes and her makeup makes her look washed-out. Cindy, far right on the picture and a beautiful looking woman in her own right is made to look like a square block. The only interesting outfit in my view is the skirt and jacket combination worn by the Nancy Reagan look-alike, Jenni, second to the right.  I like the name of the label of Jenni's outfit: Old Ladies Rebellion.  Their website indicates that the clothes are made to measure, printed, fitted and finished by hand, probably bad news on the cost side but worth investigating. I'll report back when I know more.
